It’s Nice to Know You Made a Good Choice

It’s always reassuring when you find out that other people agree with the choices that you have made in life and especially as a consumer.

In my consulting work, I used to tell sales people that many buyers read more technical product reports after they have purchased a product than they did before buying it. They want affirmation that their product choice and buying decision was an effective one. This is a psychological need to overcome that syndrome we call ‘buyer’s remorse’.

I received an affirmation ‘in spades’ today when I read that the very influential TIPA organisation (Technical Image Press Association) rated my Pentax K3 camera that I purchased late last year as the best Digital SLR Camera in their expert category. I have always been a Pentax enthusiast and the recent acquisition of the company by Ricoh is now resulting in some very fine equipment.

Honouring my Grandfather’s WW1 Service

Once again, I have attended the annual commemoration service conducted by the Friends of the 15th Brigade Organisation at the Shrine of Remembrance to honour those who served and died in the Battle of Polygon Wood in 1916.
