An Amazing Connection

We met up with Brian and Jean Hernen on our ship, a nice couple from Melbourne. Over a short conversation we found that they are very good friends of Bob and Marcie Whetstone, Some of Jill’s close circle of friends from her days at teacher’s college (Marcie, that is). What a small world to find them in the same tour group.

Brian  plays guitar and first came to Melbourne in an advisory / consulting role with the old SEC. They now share their time between living in Melbourne and their second home in the Cotswolds in England.

I think that with her flaming red hair,rosy complexion and ‘comely’ figure, Jean would have passed for a convict girl that came to Australia on the first fleet. I have nicknamed her ‘Molly Malone’.
